Winter in Scotland

Cozy fires, wild landscapes, and cuisine for foodies

a love letter to wild beauty

About this trip

I first fell in love with Scotland in February and this trip is designed to show you why.

It’s intimate, atmospheric, and heartbreakingly beautiful.

If you believe there’s something wildly indulgent about having vast, dramatic landscapes almost entirely to yourself, you’re right.

Imagine a slow, wintry week in Scotland designed for people who want to bucket list stays, space to breathe, great food, cinematic landscapes, and a bit of peace in between.

We start just outside Inverness in a five-star hotel that’s full of warmth and beauty. Then we move south to the grounds of a stunning historic estate with design-forward woodland cottages.

We’ll enjoy frosted mornings, long scenic drives, and local, seasonal cuisine that rearranges something inside you. No rushing, no over-planning. Just a thoughtful rhythm that leaves room for both exploring and doing all the right things.

My secret hope is to catch The Northern Lights so you best believe at night, if the skies are clear, we’ll be looking up just in case it decides to make an appearance. (All the toes and fingers crossed.)

This is a trip for cozy lovers filled with breathtaking scenery, food, and comfort.

A Few Things to Know

  • Expect walking: 2–3 miles a day, sometimes on uneven, slick, muddy, or hilly ground (Yes, this is the time to bring Wellies)

  • It’s February in the Scottish countryside—cold, less daylight hours, possible precipitation, probably magical

  • Pack for coziness, layers, and adventure

  • This trip is best for those who feel comfortable moving through the outdoors at a gentle pace

  • Travel Note: New UK Entry Requirement
Starting in 2025, U.S. travelers will need to apply for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before entering the UK.
It’s quick, online, and inexpensive—but don’t worry, I’ll remind you when the time comes and walk you through it.
